In business or sports, defining moments happen when the stakes are high and time is short. The ability to perform under pressure can be the difference between a winning gain, or a crippling loss. Turns out sex may offer you a one-up on the competition. The hormones released during sex temper the body's reaction to stress for days afterwards. In a study featured in both About.com's stress management guide and in The Week Magazine's annual health advice roundup, researchers found that those individuals having regular sex (with a partner) experienced a lower spike in blood pressure when met with stressful situations afterwards. Meaning if you're up for a big presentation or critical evaluation at work, abstinence could ruin your big day. So, after last weekend's 45-10 trouncing by the New England Patriots, will self-professed virgin Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos take a cue from these findings? No. Don't be ridiculous. Tebow doesn't read my blog.
